“To grasp a thought while moving & put it on paper at a reading & writing desk, makes sitting unnecessary” G. Uecker
Unlike Uecker’s famous nail reliefs, the Lettera belongs to his design & furniture work for Rosenthal, where art, philosophy & functional objects merged. It is not a conventional seated desk, but Uecker conceived it as a lectern-like standing writing desk intended for “mobile” thinkers – people who find it easier to collect their thoughts by pacing to and fro.
